This workshop will break down the bourgeoning book-to-screen market across television and feature film. Attendees will learn just HOW books are optioned and who’s in involved, as well as what to expect (and not expect) from the adaptation process. We’ll take about what makes books, articles, podcasts, and more interesting as potential intellectual property…and just as importantly, why some projects DON’T get that green light. We’ll also look at what industry forces make adaptations so in-demand for streamers, networks, studios, and producers, and how a typical development process works.
