Alyssa Maltese is a literary agent at Root Literary seeking young adult fiction, adult fiction, and adult nonfiction. In 2015, she graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelors in Creative Writing. She worked in early childhood education before moving to the west coast, where she edited for Red Hen Press before joining Root Literary in 2019. Alyssa lives in Los Angeles with her husband and disobedient cat, though she hails from and will always be a Jersey girl at heart. She is excited to find and uplift books you can’t put down, books that surprise you, books that make you think, and, above all else, books that help people.
